We enjoyed the trip of a lifetime thanks to Kerry Collins of “Here’s My Card” travel.  This was not a group tour. Kerry met with the six of us in our own traveling party multiple times on Zoom and then personally curated a trip just for us based on our interests and budget. The resulting trip has been beyond our wildest dreams. 

A lodge  in Victoria Falls  where the six of us were the only guests. A boutique hotel in Cape Town, a private vineyard bed and breakfast in Wineland where again, the six of us were the only guests, and then a five star Safari Lodge on a private game preserve. She personally vetted the facilities and services at each, and they all turned out to be among the best any of us had ever experienced. She knew what guides to use in each location (Rehad in Cape Town was magnificent) and made recommendations and obtained reservations with the best viewing table in the house at every restaurant we dined at. The game lodge in South Africa in particular was amazing. There’s a watering hole directly behind our rooms where you can sit in your private pool and see herds of elephants, hippopotamuses, lions, wart hogs, and lots of other African game mere yards away.

Words won’t do justice to the amazing experience we had using Here’s my Card Travel to plan our African adventure.  Kerry helped me navigate every decision and build an itinerary that was truly out of the world.  Kerry was very flexible and accommodating planning the entire vacation despite our time difference.  She took time to understand my expectations and provided choices that were not only aligned to my aesthetic but the experiences and memories I wanted to share with my wife.

 After we planned the itinerary, she helped me pack the trip with experiences and surprises that my wife and I will remember for the rest of our lives.  She coordinated every detail, to the minute, and even when things where completely on track, made sure she was available at all hours if there was any small thing we needed (There wasn’t ;-).

José and I are just settling back into our normal routine back home and reflecting back on how beyond perfect our honeymoon was. Everything was planned to perfection and to the smallest details.

Our stay in the Victoria Falls was the perfect beginning of our trip as we settled at the Royal Livingstone surrounded by the most beautiful views of the falls. We will always remember our excursion to the Livingstone Island and our epic swim in the falls! Kerry and Clare were great at suggesting extra activities like the bungee jumping and gorge swing (a big hit) and the dinner on the Royal Livingstone Express. Zambia was also our first African interaction with animals as giraffes, zebras and antelopes walk freely around the property.

We were sad to leave Zambia but excited for our first safari experience in the Okavango Delta. Both camps at Nxabega and Sandibe with &Beyond were beautiful beyond words can describe. The warmth of the staff, rangers, trackers and managers made the experience that much more memorable. We specially appreciated the daily welcoming dances, personalized details (food modifications based on restrictions, dinner locations and many other thoughtful gestures) and, overall, the people. We could not have asked for better initiation to safari adventures!

Our last stop in Benguerra, Mozambique was the perfect way to end our honeymoon. This secluded and exclusive island had everything to offer – from dune trips to scuba diving to sunset cruises to bonfires and many more incredible activities. We truly enjoyed staying at the &Beyond resort there as well. Their Eco-friendliness and contributions to the local communities made our stay even more special. We keep such a fond memory of the entire staff that helped us feel at home during our last week!

Kerry and Clare were incredible at everything. From the beginning, Kerry and Clare had a very clear vision of what would be best to accommodate our wishes, timing and budget and always had suggestions to make our stay as fun and as smooth as possible. The personalized itinerary they printed and had for us as we landed in South Africa (as well has hats!) is something that we will cherish forever. Kerry was also constantly available, in case we needed anything during our trip which we really appreciated. Every transfer from one location to another was smooth and planned to perfection.

José and I have already agreed that we will go with Kerry and Clare for our next trip to the African continent and we cannot wait to go back. Thank you so much for giving us the most perfect honeymoon we could have asked for!

We have nothing but the highest praise for and gratitude to Clare and Here’s My Card for organizing an incredible trip for our family.   We started in Cape Town and then stayed at Lodges in Sabi Sands, Kruger and Zimbabwe near Victoria Falls.   Each location was a fantastic experience with incredibly warm and welcoming staff and truly fabulous game drives.  Not a single complaint about any of our destinations.
 
Clare was tremendously helpful in planning a trip that met all our needs.  We have three adult children in their 20’s, and their departures and arrivals were all somewhat different, but everything worked out great and the selection of Lodges was perfect.  Clare really took the time to understand our needs and objectives and then planned a perfect trip. When logistical issues came up (as they always do) she was right on top of it and made sure that everything went smoothly.  And Clare even planned an extra weekend for my son in Harare.
 
Throughout the planning process, we felt that Clare really tried hard to make our visit an unbelievable experience, which it was.  We would recommend Here’s My Card to anyone looking to travel in South Africa.

I contacted Kerry & Clare to see if they could assist us with some safari suggestions for me & the family. From beginning to end we only had seamless service from the girls & it was one of the easiest trips I have ever had to arrange!

We know Cape Town very well as we visit often but safari was something we needed more insight into as the last time we did this, it was for our own honeymoon. It was also the first time our children, Jana & David were going on safari so I wanted something really special.

The girls presented some options based on what our expectations were & we decided on Ulusaba in the Sabi Sands for 3 nights. The camp was quite exceptional & our two-bedroom suite was positioned on top of this hill-side so we had incredible views of the bush & vistas in front of us. All the staff & our ranger were so friendly & brilliant & we were spoilt with literally ‘The Big Five’ on our first game drive! The camp staff were up to speed on who were & when to expect us, what we liked & didn’t like so we were really taken care of from start to finish. Each night we had a different dining experience & all in all, this was a trip that will not be forgotten.

Melita and I had the most wonderful holiday, both in the Cape and at Marataba Lodge, and we are very grateful to you for making it all happen. Dealing with ‘Here’s My Card’ was a pleasure from start to finish, and, particularly because we gave you little time to prepare an itinerary, I appreciate your quick response in discerning and delivering exactly what we were seeking.

Both hotels were stunning in different ways, but they shared outstanding, courteous, and attentive staff; luxurious, comfortable, and understated rooms; and absolutely perfect locations. Both exceeded our expectations. When it came to Marataba: "The staff is extraordinary, the facilities outstanding, the views spectacular, and the game-watching unparalleled. My three days were among the best I have ever enjoyed, and I have been blessed with many great days.", and, substituting "city-watching" for "game-watching", the same applies to the Cape Cadogan. Both hotels welcomed us in such a way that we immediately felt like each place was "ours".

Jorge and I had the most wonderful time on our honeymoon. I would say it started by the way we were greeted at the airport, but it started way before that. From our first e-mails with the girls, who we "met" by the referral of a friend in common, we felt completely understood about the type of honeymoon we wanted. To say it exceeded our expectations is an understatement.

Flying over the Okovango Delta we could see the ecosystems changing before our eyes. This was probably the most beautiful camp in Botswana we stayed at, and knew right then that the girls had planned it that way, so that our last place in Africa was the best one...

During the day, on game drives, looking at animals in the wild so close was a real highlight. From a herd of elephants taking a mud bath in practically the only wet spot left on the seasonal river, to a mother lion with four 2 month old cubs. After seeing African wild dogs hunt and feed their young, zebras, giraffes, wildebeests; after one more night of singing by the staff at the lodge under the African stars, after a wonderful mokoro ride in the river, we flew home, wishing to return to Africa.
