Our holiday in South Africa, was absolutely amazing and so well and carefully organised by Kerry & Clare.  So much had to be taken into consideration, including age groups ranging from 8 years to 70 years.  We went to three different areas – Cape Town, Stellenbosch and the mountains so experiencing three different areas and in all three venues we had excellent accommodation and service and there was always so much to see and do but with the luxury of wonderful facilities when we relaxed.

Once again Here’s My Card outdid themselves organising another faultless holiday. Having been to South Africa three times before we couldn’t imagine there’d be much more to see but we couldn’t have been more wrong. Cape Town is always good fun so we were more than ready to hit the sun beds and pool in Stellenbosch. The villa at Oldenburg was absolutely stunning with more than enough room for us all. We were beautifully looked after and spent much of the day simply taking in the spectacular scenery. We had just enough organised that we could totally relax whilst saying we’d explored the area too. Fully recharged we went on to Bushmanskloof which was incredible. Without any of the “man-eating” game roaming the surrounding area, we were able to trek to waterfalls, swim in canyons, canoe round lakes whilst being  surrounded by ostrich, zebra and springbok. The food was exquisite, often grown on-site and our tracker was brilliant, always knowing when to suggest that long-awaited sundowner! 

Thank you so much Kerry and Clare for such a magical time, we couldn’t have been happier with the holiday you organised for us.

We thought the Welgelegen was such a find - an oasis, great location and lovely touches - it was so hot we even used the plunge pool!

Table mountain was beyond our expectations - amazing iconic views.

We had a lovely stay in Franschhoek with beautiful food at La Petite Colombe. We enjoyed a fantastic visit to Grande Provence where we went to stroke one of the Cheetahs.

The view from the Southern Right Suite at Moselberg on Grotto Beach was amazing and we took lots of photos of the whales from the coastal path.

Meeting up with Jack at the Amakhala Game Reserve was the highlight of the holiday and we are so grateful to you Clare for giving Jack the contact details for his 3 month vet internship there. He has had incredible experiences and loved it! We also visited the fabulous Addo Elephant Park and took the most wonderful photos.

Thanks again for all your help with everything from the hotels, restaurants, car hire, flights, as well as the activities. We are so grateful.

Heres My Card made all the difference for the best trip ever. What a blessing it was to know that we were in such good hands and that every detail was covered and planned to a tee. Couldn't have asked for a thing more. 

Cape Town - What an amazing city. The Silo Hotel was one of the coolest places I’ve ever seen. Top to bottom it was incredible. Staff, service, rooms, food, all knocked our socks off. It was the ultimate way to step into our African trip and I’m sad for everyone I know who hasn't been there! Words cant describe how much we both loved it. We loved all your recommendations but Chefs Warehouse was one of the best meals we had all trip. I loved the vibe of the city and the views were incredible. How lucky you are to get to spend so much time in such an incredible place.  

La Residence - Take me back, please. Edward and his staff are unmatched in service and hospitality. Easily the most beautiful place I've ever seen. We loved getting to know everyone there and couldn't have been taken better care of. We really felt so welcomed and are lucky to have gotten to know such an amazing place and such amazing people. I can’t wait to go back. We loved hanging at the hotel but also walking into town and shopping around. Couldn't have been better. 

Singita Boulders - Amazing. Only regret is that we couldn't stay longer. They took such good care of us. Morning and afternoon drives were my favorite. We saw everything we could dream of and staff and service were top notch. 

Azura - The best way to end the trip. We had the best time literally doing nothing. We fished and toured the island but our favorite part was just relaxing on the beach and enjoying the peace and quiet. Rooms were amazing and service was exceptional. 

Again Kerry, I can’t think you and Clare enough for planning the best trip that both Alice and I have ever been on. We've both been lucky enough to have traveled to some cool places so that isn't said lightly. Here’s My Card was so professional the whole time. We felt like you were right there with us the whole time if we had any questions or concerns about anything. We didn't just feel like we were being looked after by all the hotels that we stayed in but it felt like we were being looked after by you the whole time as well. It is mind blowing how you guys pull off what you do. Cant wait to go back and use you guys again.

It was such an extraordinary trip - and we were so well taken care of by you guys - from the moment we landed on the ground in Jo’burg, until the moment we boarded the plane back to LA. Everywhere we went was so special in its own way - Sindabezi was such a beautiful start and their attention to detail was truly extraordinary. The dinner on the sampan, the picnic lunch, all the little details and lovely service in the room.

The andBeyond lodges were all so amazing. I'd say Nxabega had the best guides that we had the whole trip - AK and Equator - they were really special and fun and so enthusiastic about what they did - their love of their craft really showed through. And every night the lodge staff did something sweet honeymoon-wise, which we so appreciated even if we didn't always have room in our stomachs to consume it!

At Xudum the staff went above and beyond to do lovely honeymoon treats - drawing us a bath one night, with Amarula beside it, and creating an extraordinary honeymoon dinner layout complete with paper lanterns and a firepit and a chalkboard with our names on it. Oh! And we did this wonderful Makoro ride which ended at a floating pop-up bar with drinks and sundowner snacks in the middle of the reeds - amazing. We really were sad to leave each place.

And then Benguerra. How stunning. I have to say when we got there we realized we should have stayed a week! There's so much fun stuff to do that we were far from getting bored and it was so nice at the end of the trip to just chill and not be on too much of a schedule. The casinahs are spectacular and our butler Paolo was extraordinary.

The whole trip was really so special and so detailed and thoughtful; you guys were such great caretakers of our experience - from the moment we landed to the moment we left, we were in excellent hands. Thank you thank you for creating an extraordinary honeymoon - we are already thinking of what next trip we could do!

It’s actually hard to put into words how fantastic the holiday was - we have all agreed it was the best one ever. In practical terms, the travelling worked brilliantly. It was such a help being met at Johannesburg and being whisked through immigration and taken to the gate for the next flight. We loved the airport at Skukuza - it set the tone for the safari. Tinga was brilliant. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. The food was wonderful as was the villa and pool. It really felt quite magical and the safaris were such a fantastic experience. We saw the big 5 and each trip was different. Our guides were brilliant as well.

Azura was unbelievable! I have never seen such beautiful beaches. The whole experience was so amazing. Our hosts were really lovely and set up meals in different places - on the beach under the stars, breakfast on the beach. The food was fabulous as well. The villa was beautiful, with a great pool. We also did the island-hopping trip where we did some snorkelling and then lunch on what felt like our own deserted island. I honestly can’t put into words how much we loved both parts of the holiday. It felt like we were away much longer than a week in a good way.

So, thank you for arranging this for us. Not sure we can top this holiday. Maybe we’ll just have to do it again!!

I just wanted to let you know we’re sadly back from South Africa, having had an amazing time.

Londolozi was incredible and we had great fun with all our friends there.  Staff were all brilliant, as they were in all the places we stayed.

All the hotels you kindly arranged were fantastic. We absolutely loved Birkenhead House (our favourite of all the places we stayed) and will definitely return there one day.  

I just want to say a very big thank you to you for all your help in making our holiday just wonderful.

We will definitely return to South Africa.  It’s the most beautiful country, stunning scenery and lovely, friendly people. I do need to diet now though as we’ve eaten so much !!!

José and I are just settling back into our normal routine back home and reflecting back on how beyond perfect our honeymoon was. Everything was planned to perfection and to the smallest details.

Our stay in the Victoria Falls was the perfect beginning of our trip as we settled at the Royal Livingstone surrounded by the most beautiful views of the falls. We will always remember our excursion to the Livingstone Island and our epic swim in the falls! Kerry and Clare were great at suggesting extra activities like the bungee jumping and gorge swing (a big hit) and the dinner on the Royal Livingstone Express. Zambia was also our first African interaction with animals as giraffes, zebras and antelopes walk freely around the property.

We were sad to leave Zambia but excited for our first safari experience in the Okavango Delta. Both camps at Nxabega and Sandibe with &Beyond were beautiful beyond words can describe. The warmth of the staff, rangers, trackers and managers made the experience that much more memorable. We specially appreciated the daily welcoming dances, personalized details (food modifications based on restrictions, dinner locations and many other thoughtful gestures) and, overall, the people. We could not have asked for better initiation to safari adventures!

Our last stop in Benguerra, Mozambique was the perfect way to end our honeymoon. This secluded and exclusive island had everything to offer – from dune trips to scuba diving to sunset cruises to bonfires and many more incredible activities. We truly enjoyed staying at the &Beyond resort there as well. Their Eco-friendliness and contributions to the local communities made our stay even more special. We keep such a fond memory of the entire staff that helped us feel at home during our last week!

Kerry and Clare were incredible at everything. From the beginning, Kerry and Clare had a very clear vision of what would be best to accommodate our wishes, timing and budget and always had suggestions to make our stay as fun and as smooth as possible. The personalized itinerary they printed and had for us as we landed in South Africa (as well has hats!) is something that we will cherish forever. Kerry was also constantly available, in case we needed anything during our trip which we really appreciated. Every transfer from one location to another was smooth and planned to perfection.

What to say Clare other than a huge thank you?

The entire trip was utterly extraordinary and to say it was once in a lifetime would not be doing justice to a quite sublime ten days. It can’t be easy co-ordinating 11 people of different age groups and with varying demands on a trip around South Africa and Zimbabwe. You did so quite wonderfully and with fantastic precision and thought. All the flights, transfers, pick ups worked extremely well and the hosts at each of our destinations were hugely impressed with your thoroughness and professionalism.

Kwandwe lodge was our first experience of Safari and it was more than immense and we all fell in love with the Lodge.  The scenery was enchanting and the drives both enthralling and productive, we could not ask for a better introduction to the South African safari experience. Accommodation, was top notch and the food prepared each day quite beautiful. There was nothing to fault and waving goodbye to Nick and his team it was difficult to imagine anything matching our first four days, then we got to Matetsi!

Alastair, provided an extremely warm welcome and the setting on the banks of the Zambezi is ridiculous. The lodge was perfect and the various accommodation options just right for everyone. For me the day at Victoria Falls was the most memorable of the ten days. From the guided tour and canopy walk then the swim and lunch on the edge of the Falls, it was all so beautiful and impressive. We had cruises  on the river, sipping cold beers watching the magnificent sunset as Elephants and crocodiles glared from the darkening river banks. The safari tours were first class and the evening spent at the barbecue dancing with our hosts to traditional Zimbabwean music was probably the best laugh any of us had in years. Wonderful food, beautiful location and the friendliest people - Matetsi was exceptional.

Our final stop was Africa House and it was certainly beyond anything anybody has anticipated. The decor and accommodation more than lived up to the brochure and your own narrative. The hospitality was quite brilliant and the safari drives superbly hosted. Ryan our main guide could not have done more to ensure we ticked off the hit list and we certainly did. The big five were tracked down and watching elephants drink from the swimming pool was quite special for the family.

Clare, thank you for the thought and effort you put into the entire excursion and the incredible organisation behind it all. Everything went like clock work and the holiday got better by the day. We are all home intact, Stephen got his 2500 photos, no one caught malaria, Tom retrieved his phone, Anna tabled her 3,000 questions, Andrew ate Africa, Leo got his soya milk and all of us have memories to last a lifetime. So, thank you for all your hard work, patience and help.

We're just home and thought we would give you some feedback from our amazing trip while it was fresh in our minds.

The Leobo leg was very successful. We were kept busy with activities including quad biking, rock climbing, horse riding, nature walks, paint balling and shooting. The chef Jeremy is a legend and every meal was delicious....without doubt the best we've ever had on safari. Apart from dining in the normal club room, we had lunch overlooking the hippo pool and at Sam's deck (breath-taking views), brunch in the middle of the bush, and dinners around the fire (to watch the eclipse) and in the awesome boma!

It was a brilliant idea to move to the Observatory half way through the week. The Observatory is on another level!  It was also nice for the smaller children to have a heated pool and Jacuzzi. Whilst we were busy most mornings, the change of scenery allowed us to spend a few lazy afternoons enjoying the bigger house. 

Overall Leobo was an enormous success and Andrew loved his birthday week there...especially in the Observatory Lodge!

The game drives in the Kruger were all fantastic and it is definitely more densely populated than other reserves we have visited. We saw the Big 5 on the first afternoon, and we saw 3 leopards in the space of an hour plus our first live kill - Wild dogs v Impala!! The boys loved their golf at the impressive Leopards Creek and the logistics all worked brilliantly!

All in all, a huge success, helped of course to your fantastic planning and attention to detail. 

Many many thanks for all your hard work in making this a very memorable birthday...we can't wait for the next one!
